Brake released engine dies 26 HP Briggs and Stratton platinum . Idles perfect release brake engine dies . New brake switch, new ignition switch. New pto switch. New seat switch.

One of your new switches could be bad, may also have reverse safety switch.

[StarTech]

The reverse switch does not come into play; until, the PTO is active. Now if the seat switch connector is loose then shorting strip will kill the engine when the brake is released.
