craftsman t1100 turning radius

have a craftsman t1100 model 247.273270 serial number 1b288b40291. owners says that not able to make sharp turns any more, looking to find turning radius and any repairs in past it has been the bearing flange that was worn, replaced it still wide turns. when steering wheel turned to right there are 4 teeth left on the steering gear assembly until steering shaft, to the left six teeth on steering gear assembly until steering shaft.

Could be steering linkage or flat front tires lacking grip. Too fast a speed trying to turn. Low tread on the fronts.
 
Check the center bolt of steering sector gear for excessive play. Two problems that I have seen is 1> MTD uses a fully thread cap screw where the threads get worn out and 2> the engine where that screw passes thru get heavily worn. This allows the sector to move back and forth instead just rotating around the point allowing a lot play in the steering. One solution is use a modified partial thread cap screw. MTD once use carriage bolt at this point and square shank can sometimes fill in a wallowed hole.
 
pulled fuel tank for better look there is no movement in the stabilizer plate and no movement on the front steering assembly. did replace the hex flange bearing, tires good pressure good, the drag link has not had any adjustments done to it. not sure what you are talking about when you say steering sector gear can not find on drawing,
did disconnect drag link and steering gear assembly had the tooth numbers when steering wheel turned both was before.

wish i could find something from craftsman/mtd would give turning radius, but nothing and can not find any problems so any more would be great

Sounds to me like it has a worn steering wheel bottom shaft gear and the1/2 moon gear. The teeth wear and can make it skip a tooth. The bushings for the steering shaft are also likely worn badly.
 
replaced the bushing on steering, which is the bearing flange, not skipping any teeth
