Doesn't...They completely different. The brake caliper disc is attached to the transaxle internal drive shaft and has absolutely nothing to with belt tension, just prevents the drive shaft from turning when the brake is applied. The input pinion still can be turning in neutral if the CVT to transaxle belt is moving turning the attached pulley. As I said if the belts are trying to move it can cause the clutch is the transaxle to bind in the driveshaft and prevent easy shift from F to N to R and vice versa. And pulling out and pushing into gear the clutch dogs will cause the 42 tooth gears sooner or later to slip out of engagement due to excessive wear.
