Craftsman engine pulley

How do I remove the engine pulley on my Tecumseh motor? I have the motor off the deck and ready to replace the sump gasket. I got the adapter off but now can't get the engine pulley off so the sump will slide over the shaft and off. I thought there was a key but I find nothing. There is a hole on the side of the pulley but there is nothing in the hole- no key, screw, allen or hex screw. I have hit it with a hammer, tried prying it up, sprayed it with PB Blaster but nothing works.

Am I missing something here?

I would think there would be a set screw in there but not sure. You can borrow a pulley puller for free at most auto parts stores. Or get a bigger hammer

Set screw in the hole is correct. Remove. Old farmers remedy for removing parts rusted together. Mix 1 part antifreeze and 1 part kerosene soak the rusted parts for 24 hours. Take two pry bars or large screwdrivers and pry up on the pulley. It's work for me many times.

Rivets, will that mixture work to clean rusty tools?
I know warm transmission fluid works real well from the time I spent doing automotive mechanic work. But that is not always around the shop.

Never tried it as a cleaner, but it does work to loosen frozen parts. I been able to even loosen bearings without heat.
