My friend recently gave me a Craftsman DLT3000 that is in great shape, but has one issue to resolve before I can use it.
It won’t move forward or backwards. The engine runs. The blades turn on. The engine sounds solid. When I shift it, it will move into forward, neutral, or reverse. I can tell based on being able to push it either direction its in gear. But it won’t accelerate forward or backwards when I give it gas.
For more information, my friend told me it stopped moving while mowing. It was going and then, it just stopped.
I don’t know much about riding mowers, so if anyone on here can give me some direction on how to fix this, I’d greatly appreciate it.
Especially since I haven’t been able to mow in 3 weeks.
Check and make sure the keys are in the axles. I have seen them come out.

The model number from the serial number tag would help to figure out which transaxle the mower has installed. Just searching DLT3000 show up one with Tecumseh hydrstatic unit which is hard to get parts for.

he also says he has four flat tires in his second thread here.

I ended up fixing this issue. The idler pulley broke off and I replaced it.
