My tractor starts but shuts down when I release the brake.I suspected the brake interlock and the seat switch but both checked out. Could this be a faulty ignition sw. ?I was checking the schematic and wondering how M terminAL ON THE ignition sw. gets power? I believe M stands for magnito but there is no connection to the mag. After I reconnected the ignition sw.it started working.I have ordered a new ignition sw. and a new PTO sw.
The M does not get power.
If it does it blows the module.
The M connects to G = Ground to ground out the magneto and stop it
The brake, seat & PTO switch also ground the magneto out to stop it.
Fault will be in the safety switches or the wires connecting them.
All the switches are double switches.
One side switches 12 V to energise the cranking circuit
The other side is a ground circuit to ground the coil.
