I have a Craftsman 917.373980. I removed the carb to clean it and I forgot how the linkage rod and spring attach to the throttle mechanism. Does anyone have a picture of how it goes together?

Solid Link goes from top of Governor Arm to Throttle on carb. Spring goes from Gov. Arm to speed control lever that you control. Sometimes the spring will have a joining link that is solid part of the way, depending on engine model and design. Remember, the SPRING pulls the engine INTO fuel. The GOVERNOR pulls the engine OUT of fuel. The tension on the spring controls RPM. Hope this helps.
