Alright I have this problem with my Craftsman 32cc Weedwacker trimmer, the problem is that once I start the engine, it starts but as soon as I pull the trigger it dies off within a couple seconds, I've asked people what the problem was and they said maybe its the carb, so I went to Sears and bought a brand new carb and installed it, still won't work, I also tried replacing the fuel lines, and the fuel filter, spark plug, still no luck. Please help

To be any help at all, we at least need your trimmer's model number.

When you put the new carb on did you use a new gasket?

(( cowboy up and get over it ))

The model number of my craftsman is 358.791070 and I bought a brand new carb, I'm guessing that would work

The later Weedeater units had a problem with the cylinder bolts working loose. Grab your muffler and wiggle side to side/up and down, if you have movement, you have a problem...

Or grab the sparkplug and wiggle.

Alright it doesn't move at all, and it still doesn't seem to stabilize after I pull the trigger

Well, that is a decent sign, I guess..

The problem with these trimmers is that most techs have not ventured any farther. Yes, a mechanic at a dealership could spend a day or so figuring out the problem, but he/his shop would never get paid for it, so it is doubtful that anyone will figure it out. Compounded with the problem of you posing
the problem online, it is real hard to say much.

Is there a chance that you messed up the fuel line routing??? It is real easy to do....

I would say its wired correctly, but is there a way I can check for sure that it's correct? But it should be right because the primer bulb pumps fuel into the carb, making it start the engine.

No, the "primer" bulb is not that. It is a purge bulb. It pulls the fuel through the carb and sends the excess back to the tank.

And if you do not know the plumbing, it will never run.

Is there a site where I can double check if my fuel lines are correct?
