Wondering... the v-belt on my mower is loose and was hoping to be able to tighten it instead of having to replace. Does anyone know if I am able to tighten this belt? The belt seems like it is still in good condition, no slices, rips or chunks taken out of it. Thanks ahead of time for any assistance.

If I looked up your unit correctly you have a rear engine rider. On those units the belt tension is kept tight with an idler pulley on a tensioner arm. If this arm doesn’t move freely you will loose tension and your belt will slip. If the arm moves freely, I suspect your belt may look good, but is worn. If the belt is more than 3 years old I would recommend replacing the belt, as there are no other adjustments.
