Repairs Craftsman 26 hp. Kohler Courage Plus Surging

New mower, w/ 6.5 hours on it. Surging very bad each time I start it. Has anyone seen this happen before?

Please help!!! It's driving me nuts.

Have you checked the air filter for clogged/restricted air flow? What kind of gas are you running(regular grade with ethanol)??? I've had surging before but can't recall right off-hand what fixed it.

Regular gas that it calls for. But I'll check to make sure.
