Could be the gas cap vent.

How long after it shuts off do you have to wait before it will start again?

When it starts to act up take the gas cap off. If it starts running good. You can clean the vent hole or get a new cap.

If it still stalls out then we can go from there.

First, let us know your engine's model numbers, also go ahead and put up the tractor's model numbers.

No, the tractor number won't give me any engine info. Go ahead and remove the hood and take some pics of the engine, the numbers should be near the spark plug.

Check the fuel filter and lines.

Make sure the gas is getting to the carb.
Take the fuel line off the carb and see how fast the gas comes out the line. Should come out a steady stream.

Take the air cleaner off and when it starts dieing shoot starting fluid down the intake to make sure its starving for fuel. If it is I would check the float to make sure it is moving freely and also make sure the float needle is moving freely
