I own a Craftsman YT3000 model #917289210. The last time I cut grass it had a hard time starting, a very slow turnover. It finally did start but I went to cut grass today and I had trouble again. When I depress the clutch and turn the key I either get a click, a slight ignition but just as the motor begins to turn it craps out or I get nothing. I am suspecting the solenoid, but with several switches throughout, I am looking for some advice. I don't want to go through buying 10 different suspect parts until I find the right one. The click, barely turning the motor and crapping out, or the turn of the key to get nothing, could this be the solenoid? Could it be the battery not providing enough power (mower and original battery are just over 4 yrs. old)? Could it be some stupid switch? Please help, I can't resort to the push mower, I have 1.5 acres I keep cut and the grass isn't slowing it's growth.
