Covering holes

Here's what my puppy dug in my lawn. Any ideas on how to cover this/fill it in?

All the time. Dogs always sniff before they do anything. They smell a spot bust into a sneezing fit and don't go there again

I've never thought of the cayenne pepper, I just throw some of their poo in it. I wonder if cayenne pepper would work in mole tunnels.
