I checked out the CORE gear at GIE and was really impressed by the new Elite line. The regular line is a good lawn trimmer, but the new Elite doubles both power and battery life. They were demoing them by running them in the side of hay bales and the rpms kept right up. For the country clubs around here they are popular so the rich folks don't have o here us worker bees outside! Some guys actually charge a premium for the 'quiet service'! The only kicker is that the retail will be about $550. Ouch.

Yes it's expensive, but it's also a step above the other battery operated trimmers. The specs are a lot like the Echo SRM-225 with dual .095 bump feed line, whereas most of the cheaper cordless trimmers use single .065 line and auto feed. It also looks like the electric motor is much better than the other electric trimmers.
