Hi I own a simplicity rider with a kohler engine anyway< I have owed it for a while now and ran good last year til late August.
Anyhow it started to die after a an hour or so of running. So i check the oil and it shows nothing on dip stick so added more.
then it runs for awhile then does it all over again. Anyway I changed the oil this season before mowing. I removed alm,ost gallon of oil out of it!
It is only suppose to hold bout 2qts. so I changed the oil and went on my way mowing the lawn to my surprise it happened again.
Does anyone know whats wrong with my rider?????

Time to have the carb rebuilt. The float needle and seat are bad and need to be replaced. They are not sealing properly allowing fuel to keep running, filling up the crankcase. You are going to have to change the oil also.

Like Rivets said... carb is allowing fuel to flood the crankcase ...
don't continue allowing this to happen, because as the gasoline dilutes the oil, it will loose all of it's lubricity & viscosity leaving the engine actually running with No lubrication.... :smile:KennyV

Now I am confused. You said that you checked the oil and it shows "nothing on the dip stick" so you added more oil.
Then you said "it runs, then does it all over again" By this, I am assuming that you again checked the oil and it again shows nothing on the dip stick?
If this is the case (nothing on the dip stick) how could there be almost a gallon of oil in it?

With the dilution of fresh oil by gas described it may be difficult to see a liquid reading on the dip stick? That sounds like it could ignite/blow, yikes.
