Compost?

I am looking at doing my own compost to act as fertilizer to my plants. Is there anything special I need to know. I know it needs to be turned, but that's about it.

This is a great link!! We do extreme passive composting which is, toss it in the pile and give it all the time in the world to do what it needs. This takes 3-4 years to turn soil but if you don't have time it still works. Otherwise the info in that link is right on target.

Wow, great info, thanks. I think that is awesome. I am all about reducing my carbon foot print so my kids will have a better place to live, or at least I hope so.

Good for you Bessy...

I agree completely, the whole idea of the butterfly effect, it makes sense though completely. I'd rather help things now so it prolongs things on the other end.
