Any help would be greatly appreciated, I inherited a coleman 7500W generator with a briggs and stratton 14.5hp engine. I was told it had very low hours on it. When i received it blew smoke upon startup. I went through the whole thing, changed oil, filter, fuel lines, cleaned the carb out, spark plug etc. Yesterday it was running perfect but with a bit of smoke still. After checking a few other things i started it back up and now no smoke but the idle is jumping up and down. I made sure there were no intake manifold leaks and also cleaned the carb again just incase. Please Help. I have attached a youtube video of the generator running. Previous gas was drained from tank and replaced with new.

For some reason I couldn't get on the you tube video. But as a rule when a engine hunts, or as you said go's up and down the carburetor high speed jet is partly plugged. I know you said you cleaned the carburetor but its something you might of missed.

Not only the jet but the complete high speed circuit. It doesn't take very much dirt to cause that problem.
