Coil Check 7268

Today’s coils cannot be accurately checked with a VOM. Best way to check is to properly mount the coil and test for spark with the kill wire removed. No spark, bad coil.
 
Thanks I just read your reply to another post. Thanks Again Just to ask its a 79-80 mower. Would there be a difference?
 
Coil be if your unit has points. If it does I used the following readings. Good primary winding should be between 0-15 OHMS. Good secondary reading should be between 10,000-15,000 OHMS.
