Changed hydraulic oil in GTX 2100 and now wont move

I change hydraulic oil and filter and tested for about 5 minutes and everything was good. I put the mower deck back in place. I checked oil level and right on the fulll mark. I started and now it will not move either forward or backward.

Since then, I jacked up the rear and tried to go forwards and backwards. Nothin!

I later loosen the filter and noted oil coming out. I then started and tried foot pedals and still no movement and no increase in the oil stream.

Back on the ground and no resistance in pushing whether the transmission lever was engaged or not engaged.

Is this a pump problem? What causes push resistance if the lever is in the normal position? Is it the hyd pump?
 
Did you do a proper bleed procedure on the hydraulics after the oil and filter change. I am thinking it may be air locked and will need to be properly air bleed. On most mowers this requires jacking up the rear wheels, puling the bypass, starting the engine and slowly moving the directions controls from forward to back several times, and then re-engage the hydro and again with the engine running move the direction controls back and forth, at this point the tires should start to move and get faster until they reach full speed, and then at that point put the drive tires on the ground and see if it wil move.

Thanks. This procedure did not help either. Since it moved and worked fine for at least 5 minutes after the oil change I am beginning to think it is a pump problem. After putting the deck back on I do recall that when I first pushed the pedal, there was normal resistance and then a slight noise and the pedal went to the floor with no resistance.
 
Don't forget to consider something unrelated could of happens like the belt came off of a pulley. Just seems strange that it worked before the oil change and then quit suddenly afterwards. Most of the time the pump doesn't just quit. It will give signs of giving up the ghost first.

I have a direct drive style and seems to be fine. I have decided to start over draining the system and use the prime method you described.
 

This is the procedure I have followed, with the addition of going forward and in reverse about 5' for 6 times each-perfect results all the time-just remember to fill the unit back up very very slowly - as for fluid I have always used 20-50 full syn engine oil.

You will get way more info then you want regarding the BDU10 at the site.

some may cringe a bit

 
When its time to change the pto clutch mower mike has a great vid which for some reason doesn't work when I enter it; google mower mike, kohler pto then select videos and it should come up.
