Craftsman 3.3 chainsaw starts but won't run, ser.# 338356332. Rebuilt Walro carb, changed plug, rpl.fuel lines, rpl fuel filter, checked muffler, checked piston for scoring/damage. Runs 2 sec. and dies. The badriverboys wanna know.

so if you hit the throttle then it just boggs down? could it be the spark arrestor screen in the muffler? i know you said you checked the muffler but im not sure what you mean by that.

Could possibly be the kill wire / switch grounding out on something. If fuel, could be the fuel inlet needle sticking, even though it is new. I have seen a needle stick or drag now and then even on a new carb. Just have to go through the fuel system from the tank, fuel lines, tank filter, needle/seat, to check for blockages. Sounds like fuel starvation.
