CH-20 KOHLER 64694 - FLOAT ADJUSTMENT

I rebuilt my carburetor, found out gas was getting in my oil then found out my float setting was 26 mm instead of what the manual calls for which is 22 mm. When the float is at 26 mm which would make more separation between the needle and the float, is it possible the the float could get stuck down based on the angle and how far out of adjustment it is and in turn allow gas to get in the oil because the float doesn't rise and shut the fuel off coming into the carb? All o-rings, needle valve and body gasket are new OEM parts.

Totally stunned. First post about float height. Nice catch topcutmowing1.

Most folks blaze right over checking or setting the float height. (y)
