The last couple of times I have been mowing with this mower it has been pulling to one side or the other. It might go straight for 10 feet then all of sudden it will pull you one way to one side. Then it will come out of it and you go another 10 feet and then pull again. It isn't consistent in how far it will go straight or how much it pulls to one side. And as best I can tell it doesn't have anything to do with the front wheels. It is pulling you by the back wheels.
I believe it has done it on both sides but not 100% sure on that. If it does switch it stays that way for a while. If it is pulling left it pulls left for a while. Hopefully that makes sense.
I went to pull the tires off to see if anything was odd that I could see but the only thing I noticed is one tire came off really easy and appeared to have oil/grease on the shaft/shaft hole on rim and the other one is basically rusted on with no oil or anything like that. I still have yet to get it off but I don't think that is going to do me any good. When I looked at the other one I was able to get off there really isn't anything there that would cause this particular issue. There aren't any bearings or anything like that. The shaft just has a flat side and the rim has flat sides in the hole the shaft goes into so that it locks in place and the wheel turns when the shaft turns.
Does anyone know what would cause this? Is it the transmission most likely? I think it is a fully sealed transmission so not sure there is much maintenance you can do on it or not.
