Catcher Mounted but Bags Not Installed

First post and Thanks for all the info here. Tried to search this but struck out.
Here's my question, I have a Cub Cadet zero turn 42" and She Who Must be Obeyed says I need to use a catcher on the front yard or the buildup will eventually cause the lawn to be as high as our border around the flower beds. I would not mind the additional work for using the catcher on the front 10K sf but the 2/3 of an acre in back will amount to more bags of grass than the trash ppl will pick up.
The type of catcher for this mower is a twin bag and nobody in Okc has one in stock that I can look at. I need to know what's the best, fastest way to go from catching the grass to not catching it. (IE: remove the bags and the chute or just remove the entire assembly? What would work best in this scenario?) Thanks, Stick

Chute mounts onto the discharge opening so you just pull the entire chute off.

SWMBO obviously was asleep during science classes.

Thanks Bert. BTW, I did have science class and don't recall this being discussed. So you learned that airborn dust was the reason that soil rises in height? I guess I'll take that if it brings back any of the topsoil that blew away in the 1930s Dust Bowl in the central & southwestern US.

It is not your science background that is the problem. It is SWMBO. FYI: SWMBO gets around a lot. There is at least one for every household. Should have been a hermit!!

Stick,

Thinking more about it I have an alternative solution. Being that you are in OK where the wind blows non stop, don't catch the grass. Extend the chute and aim it straight up. It will all end up at least 2-3 blocks away if not more. Problem solved.
