If I was 200 miles away from any dealer cutting 100 acre's of wood and I just wanted to set my saw up but could'nt because some dipstick in a office said I can't do that, I would be a little p/off about it, would'nt you..?

And before you say anything, yes I would have more then one saw up there, but still be p/off.

Has if one little tool for setting the carb going to take food off the table, here the Stihl dealer has to turn over £60.000 a year, and if it was'nt for the DIY man doing cockup's now and then, they would'nt sale so many parts, all they're will say is part X that and buy a new one. but thats not just Stihl thats all main dealers of any make.

The older Stihl equip. I have bought had just about everything you need to work on them in the field and they understood that. The friggin GOVERNMENT got involved in it and that is the problem. I would not lose my business over a small tool to adjust a carb. It's up to us to get around ridiculous govt. mandates. If you are deep in the woods cutting and need to make a small adjustment but have to take it to the dealer to get it fixed. Then just how much in emissions did you create to take a chainsaw to the shop, and or trimmer.

Rant over
