Alternate shots of carb cleaner between the inlet and the the needle valve port. Spraying from both ends like that should flush the blockage out...

I tried that but there was nothing there. I got it running. The issue was the idle mixture screws. I had them setup to what they were when I got it. I needed to spin both to get it to keep running. Well hope this helps someone else if they have the same issue. Try the mixture screws before you try something else. Thanks for all the help.

This is a Murray with a 4hp Tecumseh. model number rubbed off.

Ok, so a lopsided float will cause the carb to not get fuel? Why? How can I get it level? When I was installing the carb kit I noticed the needle DID NOT have a seat, should I have put one in? No, I triple checked, with a hole punch, all over the port just felt like metal! The primer bulb seems like it's in good shape, no holes, not dry or thin, no cracks but when I push it in I can't tell if it's doing anything. Yes, I "went over it with a fine toothed comb", in cleaning the carb, twice. I sealed it with gasket maker and made sure that I have a really tight seal between the parts, no leaks! Is there anything else at all that could cause the carb to not be getting gas? The gas is fresh, the gas line is new, and the tank and filter is clean and gas flows freely.
