Not much to go on. So. Go to you tube. Look up Small engine doctor Donnyboy 73. After you get there look up videos on poulan chainsaws. Several videos on various Poulan and Weedeater brand carbs there.

Are the heads on the adjusters splined, look like a D or look like two D's back to back? Or something else?

Most Poulan saws use Zama carbs. The website below talks about the adjustments. If you have one with non adjusting heads you will need a special tool. This tool is only sold to servicing dealers and they are not allowed to resell them. They will loose their servicing agreement if they do so. Have heard that they are available, but have never found them online.
