Can't get to the carb bolt on Troy Bilt Pressure Washer (3000psi, 2.7GPM)

I am pretty sure I can fix my pressure washer, but I first have to get past the annoying problem of not being able to remove the carb bolt. It is literally a little over 1" between the bottom of the pressure washer and the bolt. Not sure who thought this was a good idea, but all 4 of my socket sets (even the tiny ones) are way too big to get in there. I'll attached a pic of how little space I have to work with. I am serioously thinking of drilling a hole through the bottom of the machine just to get to it!!

Anyone have ideas on how to get to the bolt? I would appreciate any help.

You mean the bottom jet/nut on the carb?
A wrench similar to this may help..
Since it is just a pressure washer deck, drilling a hole wouldn't hurt.61N1E-ldOJL__AC_SL1500_.jpg

Most people take the carb off.....then you all the room you need to disassemble it!
 
Thanks all for the advice. I took the engine off the cart and was able to get the nut off the carb and clean it up with carb cleaner. It was pretty gunky. Now the gas pours out of the primer bulb when I fill it.

Looks like I'm gonna have to take the thing apart.
 
Out of the primer bulb? sounds like your float needle isn't sealing possibly... check your oil for gas in it before you run it.

I would've thought it would be easier to remove the carb from the engine, then to remove the engine from the unit just to get to the bottom of the carb but.....I could be wrong though.

I'm letting all the parts soak in carb cleaner for now as the float and pin were both full of muck. I ran the gas out the last time I used it so that seemed strange, but I'll give it another go once everything is clean and put back together.
