I believe this is the axle seals so will need 2 one for each end

I believe this is the one for the brake shaft. They are basically a square cut rubber ring.

Wouldn't hurt to also get https://www.partstree.com/parts/mtd-741-04442/ and https://www.partstree.com/parts/mtd-741-05096/ for the brake shaft and and 2 of the https://www.partstree.com/parts/mtd-741-05060/ for the axle.

Well, this transmission has no gaskets at all. The two halves just bolt together. I guess I could lay a bead of gasket compound. I'm still waiting on parts.
