Can’t get a LAWNBOY lawn mower to start

I can’t this one to run. It has a new carburetor, fuel line, and air filter. Ive
Tried adjusting the screw on the carburetor. I’ve swapped out the spark plug. I can’t get it to start. Any ideas?

Have you checked the crankshaft seals? If they start leaking, it will result in a lean fuel mixture and unit will not start or if it does start will have a surging condition.

Rivets, this is a tecumseh 4cycle motor not the LB 2cycle.

lacrosse, did u confirm there is a spark?

Sorry, haven’t finished my second cup of coffee yet. Did you install the correct carb? Should be Tecumseh part number 640350. Also, have you checked for spark. As these engines age the coils tend to go. Try starting by squirt a little carb cleaner directly into the air horn. Let us know the answers to these questions.

Guys. Beats me, it just started working? For two days it wouldn’t start, now it starts up no problem, no adjustments, nothing. I’m baffled.
