I would like to hear everybody's opinion on the best way to inject lubricant into cable housings and which lubricant they like best? Also opinions on cable luber devices or precision oilers? Keep it PG I can hear the jokes already.

Within motorcycle service circles there is a device called the "Cable Luber". It fits a rubber seal around the cable end, and any aerosol lubricant from Liquid Wrench up to White Lube can be injected into the cable. It literally blasts the lubricant down the full-length of the cable. They can adapt to almost any diameter cable. I've been using the same one since 1971, so they hold up well too.

They are wonderful for rusty cables on mowers, bicycles, etc. I prefer to use aerosol motorcycle chain lube, such as Motul. These lubricants have HIGH adhesion, cure to a viscous grease, and are water-proof. All very desirable traits. Motul Chain Lube

Cable Lubers are listed on WalMart, Amazon and other sellers. CLICK HERE
