Hello,

New guy here, figured I'd join up so I could get some good info. on my new used Ca.Trimmer I just bought. I thought it was a Ca. Trimmer but it say's "Trimmer of Fresno, Inc." on it????

It's the ""Special Trimmer - Home Model" 20 inch powered by a Honda GX120 4.0.

Got it home, fired it up, put it on the highest setting and it's waaaayyyyyyyyyyy too low. What's the deal on these?

I just bought what I believed to be the best possible mower for my new lawn and the darn thing only cuts super low! I'm thinking I may try to raise the cutting height by making a new slightly longer arm that goes from adjustment lever to the wheels and/or possibly some taller front wheels. Does anyone have any tips on how to alleviate this problem? Any info on this model I bought?

Thanks!

Hmnnnn, maybe I could wrap duct tape around the front wheels to make them taller:smile:

Does anyone know, do all 20" trimmers cut this low?

I can't find a model # anywhere on it.

Ser.# is 07650 from "Trimmer of Fresno"

I see there are a few other makes of trimmer type mowers.

Does anyone know if any of these have a higher cutting height than my Ca. Trimmer I just bought??

Time for more research, unless someone here can share their knowledge:anyone:

I really like a tall lawn, but I LOVE the Ca. Trimmer style of cutting - hope I can find a remedy for my dilema

All of the ones I know of are close to the ground cutters. I even looked at a golf course one it was the same.

It is a California Trimmer. (They have a Facebook page) They been around for years.
The adjustment for the height is on the right side and moves the FRONT wheels up and down.
They do cut short. That is what they are designed for. About 2 inches max.
