you could probably get a brand new one for $2,600; so, I wouldn't go more than $2,100. If you decided to trade it back soon after or sell it privately it's NOW 7 years old.
Where are you getting 7 years old. It was made in 2022 and this is just 2025 so most likely 2.5 years from DOM.

I usually try to use the excuse that my head jumped time. Most people don't know what that means anyway, and if they do, they can usually empathize.

I’m interested in buying a TS148XK Husqvarna riding mower. I found a dealer who has one, my concern is this mower has been sitting crated in his warehouse since 2023 and he says it was factory assembled in 2022. I’m concerned it’s not a “new mower” in that it’s been sitting for so long. He’s offering $200 off as an incentive. Any thoughts about issues that it’s been sitting for so long? Thank you.
Held in a warehouse or out in the back holding lot in the weather? If it has been weather exposed, it should be pretty obvious.

If it was dry stored, then that is not an issue. I would insist on a written warranty with purchase. If they cannot provide that, then walk. An extended warranty contract is worthless unless they are a servicing dealer and not just a box store seller.

When I work for a John Deere dealer years ago, it was not uncommon to sell mowers that were made 2-3 years prior. All were kept stored and serviced immediately including a new battery and test run before sale.

$200 dollars off is not an insult, but I would insist on a new battery and a tank full of fuel along with a written 2- year warranty.
