Burr...wood fire!

Have you had to fire up your wood fire yet? It has been cold enough here that we can easily light the fire to keep warm, and we have had the electric heaters on low so it is not freezing in the morning.

It's usually October for us. I can't wait because this has been an unbearable summer for us . I don't know if it's hotter or we're older, but we can't wait for the snow.

I love the smell of the first lit fire, it smells so fresh and welcoming, I smelled a few on the way home from work, this is early for here really, wasn't this early last year.

Not yet :confused2: Usually in October for us too - although tonight I'm sitting in sweats and a blanket. Hubby says it's too early to start the wood stove. :thumbdown: I'm ready, nothing beats the wood heat!

It is cold and damp, the wife and I are curled up on either sides of the couch in blankets with our laptops, oh the technology age, lol. I guess we could flirt a bit via MSN or maybe Facebook, wouldn't that be silly.
