Hello, My stiga sc9812b ride on lawnmower rolled down a hill and bent the rear axel. It is still usable, to a fashion, so I am reluctant to start undoing bolts in case I cannot put it back together!! Can anyone help by explaining how to replace the part?

It looks to me like the Stiga isn't sold in the USA. Maybe if you go to a Stiga parts dealer he will have a service manual he can sell you. When I get a peace of equment in my shop I am not familiar with and can't find a manual on line I tell the customer that a repair manual will be on his bill. It will be a very usefull tool to have with your Stiga if you plan on your own repairs in the future.

I asked the dealer, but was told no repair manual available- I looked on the Stiga website but no downloads for manuals at all. Searched Goodle but still no joy! I think that these units are pretty similar design, does anyone know of a tutorial / video tutorial to dismantle the transaxle and replace the axle?

If I remember right the transaxle is a tuff torq.

Try https://www.tufftorqservices.com/COM_Net2/servlet/WebDispatcher?mode=comnet

You will need the numbers off the transaxle.

The chassis part is serviced by stiga, the engine by the engine manufacturer and the transaxle by the transaxle manufacturer.
So Stiga wouldnt have anything to do with the axle.

OK just what is the name of your trans axle and model. Peerless?? That is one of the biggest used trans axle in the US. As I said Stiga isn't sold over here and I coulsn't find very much on it. There has to be someone better at diging for information then me.

That is one of the biggest used transaxles in the world.

I think its a Tufftorq K46 which is used on most OEMs

Now he just needs a service manual for a Tufftorq K46 a good investment unless there is something on the internet.
