A alanwagen Member May 7, 2016 #1 I fell on my mower (don't ask) and broke the speed lever on my HRX217HZA. I ordered a new one (54311-VE0-J50) and I should have it soon. Just how hard is it to replace it? Thanks for any advice. Regards, Alan

BlazNT Lawn Pro May 7, 2016 #2 I have no knowledge of what you are trying to do but I can say this. Take lots of pictures as you take it apart. It will greatly improve reassembly.

A alanwagen Member May 12, 2016 #3 Got it done. It was tricky with collars, springs and pins. It took me longer than expected but works great.
