Blade belt calls for a 92.25 I ran a 91 could this be why the belt broke after one yard of tall thick grass

yes......it could be...but 1 yard??.....i think more likely it was routed wrong or some guide or metal cut it...can you see the type of damage to the belt?...like cut or ripped or ???

Ok looked at the belt looks like I might have a rub some where And it is ripped I can run a 93 belt for ever just won't cut thick grass so went to the small belt. Put a belt on don't see that it rubs on anything This is a craftsman 42 inch
You might want to check and make sure the belt moves smoothly through the pulleys. You should be able to grab the belt and pull it without much resistance. Sometimes a pulley can get a deep groove over time and the belt will catch in the pulley instead of moving smoothly through it.
