It looks okay to me, is there hole or buldge in the aluminum on the opposite/outside of the sump?

I don't see anything wrong either but I suspect what you are worrying about is the least of your worries if it threw a rod. Crankshaft journal would be my first concern along with the camshaft bearing boss in the block and camshaft. Governor spindle also.

The client crank cleaned up with muriatic acid and I polished it to a shiny finish the governor gear never exploded and is intact I am not sure what else to check on that.

That the spindle, axle, that the governor runs on is tight in the casting, and the camshaft bearing bosses, especially in the block, is not cracked.
