Does anyone know about the 2 different sump gaskets that are packaged with the 594101 sump kit. The shape of the gaskets are identical but one is a thinner black paper, the other white thicker paper with a brown rubbery seal on the inner edge. My engine had the black gasket and that seems like it is the one I should use. But if the white gasket is an improved gasket and is okay to use…should I use that one? Anybody know about this?? Spit
The thickness of the gasket sets the crank shaft end float
Ideally yushould assemble with no gasket, then measure the end float then select the appropriate gasket , or number of gaskets needed to compensate for the wear .
