I have a 4 year old Simplicity Citation 48" deck with a Briggs 25 HP cemercial engine 150 hrs. It started using oil . Doesn't smoke all the time but when it does lots of blue smoke any suggestions on what might have happened
Start by checking the oil smell. If it smells like gas it will get us started. When you post back make sure you include the units model and serial numbers, plus the Briggs model, type and code numbers.
Over filling the oil is one bad idea. ON the full mark is perfect. BELOW the full mark, no good. Oil is cheap. Keep her exactly on full on level ground. Check her every time you mow.
