Briggs Intek 60

My name is Mick and I'm in the far north of Queensland Australia. A very dry tropical environment most of the year, until our wet season comes round usually December to March.
I've always been interested in mechanical things and enjoy learning how to maintain and fix up the things I use.
Recently I've been moved from Road work to equipment maintenance, mostly small to medium scale mowing equipment, think the kinds of things used on the grass at the sides of roads in small towns and out on the hi way.
I have 4 Older Deutscher self propelled slashers which use a Briggs and Stratton engine marked as an Intek 60.
The trouble I am having is identifying the carburettor. The are heavy machines and get ignored until this time of year when they are about the only ones which can handle the damp tall grass without sinking into the clay soil. However this mean the have sat uncared for since I assume last wet season. 1 is in terrible condition but the others will run if not yet reliably. All could do with a car by kit, or a new carby even non genuine if they are available. But I am having a hard time identifying them. Please have a look and see if they ring any bells for you.

Without knowing the model number from the engine, it will be difficult to narrow down exactly what you have. They used about 3-4 different carbs on that style of engine with 2-3 different carb kits. the number information for the engine may be stamped into the blower housing above the muffler, or above the spark plug. or next to the flywheel hole. Could also be stamped into the OHV cover. I have seen some of the engines will have the numbered stamped into the piece of metal that surrounds the cylinder.

There is a steel plate on the engine with a lond series of numbers, but it is corroded, I tried to use a camera to get a clear view of the numbers.

It is the first set of numbers that is important.
Model=121602 Code=0272-E1
Go to the Briggs & Stratton web site
in the top menu bar change the location from Australia to North America
Now click Support and in the pop up select manuals.
Type the model & code numbers into the space then download the parts book and the users manual

I've been told often enough, you must ask the right question.
Looks like that was the right question.
Thankyou all very much, I see 2. Replacement carbys coming my way and a couple of rebuild kits.

This one will be getting the full carby, others may only need a kit.
