I bought a husky zero turn with a Briggs extended performance (intek) . Runs good when reved up all the way but with less than full throttle it runs rough and pops out the exhaust . Not backfiring but popping like it’s kinda skipping . Makes no difference if it’s hot cold .

Single cylinder , twin cylinder triple cylinder ?
really man,
We are sitting in front of a screen looking at words.
You are there with the mower in front of you.

It could be any one of over 100 different models with any on of 22 different engines 47 different carburettors .
So how about posting the numbers from the tag under the seat & also the Model type & serial of the engine, usually found on a rocker cover on ride on engines.

Could have sworn I said it was a V-twin . Can’t read really read the tag and the muffler is right in the way of cleaning it up . I believe it’s 44m777-0110-e1 . It looks identical to a 24hp intek I have in a tractor . Well with a few minor differences

Start by pulling the blower housing and removing the kill wires from the coils.
Popping goes away = bad diode between the coils

Popping stays , remove the plug leads or ground the coils one at a time to see if it is both cylinders or only one cylinder.

Both cylinders = carb problem
Single cylinder = valve or gasket problem

Never give the kill wires a thought , good idea !

Nope it’s not that aggressive . It’s a ever so slight puff / miss . I’ve got to use it this afternoon and I’ll see when it’s acting up if using the choke will cure it

Try a new set of plugs first.
