I'm working on my old roper and I'm trying to figure out what wire that comes out from under my flywheel to charge my battery... Ones all black and the other one is black and red

With the engine model number someone might be able to find it on an electrical schematic for that one.

Engine numbers would help, not sure about the red and black lead, looks if you have a Dual Circuit so red lead is DC unregulated for charging battery, black lead AC 14 Volts for lighting circuit.

I could send you a color coded diaphragm by B&S showing the different charging systems IF I could find it in the mean time, look for a "fat" place just ahead of the connection plug. This will be the Diode to change AC to half wave DC for charging the battery, your battery charging wire.
