Briggs and Stratton has acquired Power Distributors, which was Briggs and Stratton's sole distribution network. PD, as of what they are announcing right now will remain in its current role,
 
Heck I thought they already own PD.

Briggs around here is nearly dead repair-wise. Ever since they filed Bankruptcy sales went thru the floor. Currently if I need a Briggs parts it is obtained on the open market.
 
I had really good luck with BriggsAndStratton.com. They are the official online store, but a separate company (Outdoor Power Direct). Their data base was up to date, they were timely, and the parts were to spec. I ordered one part based on the fiche, and it was not needed in my engine, they took it back no problem. In fact it would have cost more to return it so they just gave me a credit and said donate it - which I did. Would have no problem using them again. Their prices are low retail, and while there are places that sell for less, this site was the most reliable.
