Bought this used a few years ago and it fell off almost right away. I have been coasting to a stop but lots of time right now (sadly), so need to get it back together. None of the parts diagrams show how it actually fits together and something seems off. The front connects off-center to the right (I think) and the brake connection at the back is on the left. It seems like it should go straight down the left side but there is nowhere to connect to the linkage at the front. If anyone has this model, Photos of the two connections would be appreciated or a diagram.

The Sears diagram and the Husqvarna diagram seem to differ

The husqvarna diagram shows rod # 403806 with an eye at the brake pedal end and a hook at the transmission end
The hook has a spring # 532413678 to bridge the space between the rod & the lever on the gear box.
BRAKE ROD
The brake rod goes on the left side of the lever welded to the clutch / brake pedal rod and the link that goes to the tension pulley passes through it then is secured by a cotter pin
The new mob at Sears must have employed an Australian to redo their web pages because they are now nearly impossible to navigate through actually find the information you need & of course you can no longer print out the parts diagram.
Good thing is if you drop the sears part number into part tree or Jacks small engines , that will bring up the makers parts list ( AYP _ Husqvarna ) which is easier to use & can be printed off so you can take it under the mower.
Some morons never learn that information MAKES sales it does not benefit your business to make things hard for the customers.
