Reading this forum, I have been able "to cure" my old Toro Model : 20789 N° : 2100002838. It won't start, no spark, checked the kill line.. Ok. Tested the primary coil.. Ok (Then I learn that this measurement was probably irrelevant) Tested the secondary ... Open, no resistance. Bought a new coil, found that the old one was upside down
. Understood why a coil should not be upside down, thanks to this video and the explanations on this forum:
The old Toro is now doing well and the lawn shearer is happily running behind.
