Hi, I bought a used bobcat zero turn mower about a month ago and it was running great then all of a sudden it quit and when I tried to start it back it would only run when the switch is in the start position. I've tried everything I know from putting a new switch in it and it won't run at all so I put the old one back in and I've check fuses, does anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

:welcome:

Well obviously you have an electrical problem

There are two safety circuits.
One prevents the engine from cranking when under load
The other shuts down the engine when an unsafe operating condition is detected.
Your problem will be with the shut down system.
To confirm this remove the earth wire from the ignition coil.
IF the mower starts & runs then the problem is in the wiring
If it does not not is in the coil.

Now if you want any more help you will need to give the forum members something to work with.
Bobcat made a lot of mowers with a lot of different wiring looms.
Or if you can not be bothered the just go down to your Bobcat dealer with your big cheque book and buy a complete loom and all switches should set you back around $ 500.
