So I let my husband use my 48" Leo Jr. ONE TIME and now it won't start . When I turn the key, it makes a whirring sound. Any thoughts or advice as to what I should try to get my mower running?

WELCOME to these forums...
Check the battery it May need to be charged. If it is very low it will not be able to spin fast enough to engage... :smile:KennyV

Could possibly be either a stripped, or stuck starter pinion gear.
