Blown head gasket cracks in cylinder head, Hey guys I have a Briggs & Stratton 17.5 hp engine had a blown head gasket removed ahead to find cracks. Anyway to repair this? The mower was still running fine but was smoking.

Are you sure they are cracks in the head and not just casting marks. I have not seen very many cracked heads on mower engines.

The head gasket will positively make it smoke. Can you thin some paint to like water and smear it on the head and wipe it off and see if the paint went into a crack or if not
