blades stop turning

I have a gravely mower and when mowing the blades stop turning when engaged and mowing. Machine cools down, works shortly than blades shut off and on, then shuts down while blades are still engaged to mow. Looking for assistance on a solution.

When our mower did that i found out that the belt stretched when it was hot and shrank when cooled down, sounds like time 4 a new belt

Might also be a coil.

Also sounds like you may have a short in wiring maybe to one of the safety switches - have any mice been chewing on your wires ?
