This is one of those times when the mower’s model number and serial number come into play.

Based on you mower’s model number, your mower requires a 17.25” blade with a 6 point star center hole.
Here are the Rotary brand numbers: https://www.rotarycorp.com/search?q=&l=15&p=1&s=relevance&pr=,&f=class:15;dimension:2_17.2500_1,4_6 POINT STAR_0
Stens: https://www.stens.com/products/blades/lawnmower-blades/center-hole/6-pt.-star/lengthus/17-1-SLASH-4"
Note: This information applies only if that is the model number on the mower and NOT on your operators manual. Mower blades are measured diagonally.

LT50 mower. Manual shows 942-05052A blades needed. They are 18”, and to long for the deck. the old ones are 17”. Anyone have any idea why the recommended blades do not fit?
Describe what part of the blade is not fitting.

Take pictures and post here.

Come on Slomo get your finger out of the light socket especially when electricity is on.

The key words are "they are too long". Sometimes being too long is a bad thing.

I read that too. Thanks for retyping it.

I was thinking a bad stamping or someone pulled the wrong part. You know, simple human error? Guess on your street that never happens LOL.

It does happen but I have learn to read and re-read things multiple times. as I do try my best to be as accurate as I can as others are depending on accurate info too.

In this case I am thinking someone pulled the wrong blades. It isn't like it hasn't happen a few times this year to me. Matter I got a few weeks ago air filters for saw blades. I do wonder if the other tech that got the saw blades actual tried using them as air filters.

Grasshopper blades and Toro blades are stamped on the grass side.
